Founder and Executive Director- Kimberly Lyons

Kimberly Lyons, a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., has dedicated her life to serving her community and making a meaningful impact on the lives of children. In 2017, she founded Kimmistry, Inc., a nonprofit organization that fosters love, support, and growth for children and their families.

With over 34 years of experience in business administration, operations, and logistics as a senior logistics supervisor, Lyons brings a wealth of expertise in organizational leadership to her nonprofit work. Her passion for children’s well-being and her ability to lead and innovate are the driving forces behind Kimmistry, Inc.

The organization’s name, Kimmistry, is a creative play on words that represents the blend of community, kids, arts, STEM, and mentoring. Kimmistry, Inc. serves children ages 5 to 12 by supporting their educational growth through the provision of school supplies and assisting families through initiatives like Christmas Adoption Assistance.

Lyons holds a bachelor’s degree in business from North Carolina Wesleyan College (2008) and a master’s degree in human resources from Nova Southeastern University. Her educational background, coupled with her professional experience, enables her to strategically lead Kimmistry, Inc. and create lasting positive change in the community.
